Who are TDR HIGHWAYS & STREET LIGHTING Civils LTD

TDR Highways & Street Lighting Civils are Solihull based highway maintenance contracting company established in 2008 by Tommy Fryer, Darren White and Richard Fryer - hence TDR. They started their journey contracting to the Amey laFarge Joint venture on the Hertfordshire County Council Highways Maintenance Contract. Initially employed to excavate street lighting column holes this soon developed into more general highway maintenance works.

Ten years later the scope of work now includes footway and carriageway resurfacing, paving and kerbing, pedestrian guard rail and general fencing, construction of private driveways and emergency response to highways defects - potholes, trip and hazards etc. We employ over thirty highly skilled operatives  and have a feet of vehicles ranging from 3.5 and 7.5 tonne tippers to 18 tonne grab lorries plus numerous items of highway maintenance plant. 

Client base to date include Amey and Balfour Beatty Living places delivering services on behalf of Birmingham city council, Solihull metropolitan Borough, Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council. Latterly TDR Civils have ‘branched’ out into the world of arboriculture providing tree felling, pollarding, thinning, crowning and basal growth removal for both the public and private sector. 

All of our staff are trained and certificated on their specific areas of expertise and we are ISO 9001 - Quality management Systems accredited.
